People always ask me what is a diaper cake, what flavors do they come in or can they eat it. Most people are unfamiliar with the concept of diaper cakes, they have no idea of what I am talking about when I say I make diaper cakes as gifts for the mommy to be, daddy to be or first birthdays.

ALBERT C. FENNELL

(July 1950- July-2002) of San Diego, California. His art is explosions of vivid and brilliant colors; he captures a viewer's senses, leading them to embrace the elements of design. Mr. Fennell spent his early years to investigate life and its effect on humanity, He believed every person has a purpose and is destined to fulfill it. Through his work he strived to create a communication level with all people, dealing with truth, pride and beauty.

A majority of Albert's images were created using the rapidgraph pen which he was introduced to during college art classes. His natural flair for this medium evolved into his celebrated, elongated style.

Accomplishments include being chosen as a African American Role Model (in art) by the San Diego Museum of Art and receiving national recognition --and publication--in the Artist Market for his illustration for the San Diego Repertory Theater. 

The legacy of Albert Fennell is kept alive by his wife and daughter by playing an active role in marketing his fine art, gifts and collectibles.

Wow almost time for a new year, looking forward to it being a great year with many blessings. Learned many new things this year, overcame obstacles, grew in areas that were dormant for a while, met some great positive people who are now friends. 

As I reflect back on 2015 I thank God for his grace upon my life, I thank my family, friends, customers, clients, and vendors for all their support for Shiloni's Custom Cakes & Gifts. My prayer for each and everyone of you is that your life and business prosper in all areas. Learn new Ideas, teach new lessons and grow!
